Vet Forward Initiatives
Provide affortable Housing for qualified veterans and families in the Upstate along with addtional wrap around services that consists of various wellness, and professional development initiative.
Community Yoga - Veterans and their family members are invited to participate in beginners yoga and meditation classes offered weekly at no cost to them. Offered in-person and online/virtually. These classes consist of gentle stretching, mindful movement, and meditation.
Nutrition Education - Programs for our veterans and their families focusing on healthy eating habits, gardening skills, benefits of a plant-based diet, how to eat healthily, etc. Includes cooking demonstrations.
Mental Health First Aid - Available to Veterans at no cost. How to manage stressors, navigate events and activities that may be triggering events and provide available resources to assist with post-traumatic stress and other mental health concerns.
Employment - Veteran career coaching to assist in finding long term sustainable employment. Includes resume writing, interview skills, and soft skills training.
Business Incubator - Start or expand veteran businesses through access to a business consultant and other entrepreneurship resources.
Financial Literacy - Budgeting, Debt Management, credit repair, and other services to help veterans with financial concerns.
Training - Career coaching and resources to find career and business training opportunities for veterans.
